A Christian

A Christian is a follower of Christ, to be a follower of Christ one must have the same mindset as Jesus has. To have this disposition is easy if one truly wants to be conformed into this manner. Philippians 2:5 tells me to "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus". This scripture tells me to (let) which is to allow something that is already capable of being, be present in my life. This next scripture tells me that I can receive this ability, because in Philippians 4: 13 it says that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".
We are strengthened with power from Jesus through His Holy Spirit who lives in us and grants us the access of a Supernatural power of peace that surpasses all understanding of just how we are to operate in this life. He also teaches us how to treat everyone and every situation that we are confronted with on a daily basis. The Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth, and direct our steps that have been ordered by God if you will allow Him to do so.
We can live perfect and blameless before God if we chose to live this way. Do you remember Job? In the book of Job 1: 8 it says "Then the LORD said to Satan, Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil". Well - Job lived blameless before God, but better yet; what about Jesus? He is the example of life that we have the ability to follow if we desire to change our way of thinking. Once you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then you will have been equipped with everything that you will ever need to live a perfect life as Christ lives in you.
The only reason a person who has accepted Jesus as being their Lord and personal Savior says that they can't live as Christ lived, forgiving, loving, and blessing others, is not because they can't live this way; it's because they don't want to live Christ-like. It is a choice that we all choose to live either as Jesus says we are to live, or we choose to live the way we want to live to please ourselves. Jesus set the example of how we should live our lives that will best benefit our well-being.
It is not God's will that we live our lives only thinking of Him in times of need. He wants us to acknowledge Him in all of our ways and let Him direct our path. God wants us to have Him on our minds all day, every day. It is God's goodness towards us that we even exist, and are able to breathe, to see, to walk, to think or anything else that we may think that we are doing on our own. It is not us and it is not about us; it's all about Jesus, the one who hung, bleed, and died for our sin - that we may have a right to the tree of life. The only thing that He asks for in return, is for us to give Him glory in all things.
However, all thing includes giving God glory in your everyday talk, your everyday walk, and in your deeds and actions towards your fellow man. Not only just mankind, but God wants us to respect His entire creation which includes the land, water, animals and all that He has created for our lifestyle and beauty. We must remember, there is nothing that we can do except God allows, and grants access to enable us to perform the task at hand. He is our Father and wants only the best for all of His children.
God wants us to be happy and blessed with all that we want as long as it is in His will, and we can live this way if we become true Christians as He has given us the ability to become. The process is not hard, you just have to practice living like Jesus did every day of your life, all day long. Now this may sound like it is being a Jesus fanatic, but that's okay. He was a people fanatic when He died on the cross for our sin - so the least that I can do is try to live the way He asked me to. I pray that this message has blessed someone in some way and that you will start to give God the attention that He deserves. Feel free to share this message with someone that may not have seen it, God will bless you for blessing them. Thanks and may God bless you!
